![]() | This plugin will create mattes that are attached to objects in 3D renders by using a PPass (also called point pass, position pass or position point pass). This will allow you to create custom mattes in After Effects without having to go back to the 3D program to generate them. What the demo movie (top right button) to see the plugin in action in After Effects. **Please note that this is no audio on the demo movie. Until now this functionality was only available in Nuke, so we are very excited to bring this tool to After Effects.

EFX Render Elements Z Depth Tools
![]() | These plugins will let you make the most use of a ZDepth pass that you often render out from a 3d application. It's a pass that stores the information about the distance from camera for each pixel - there is really a lot you can do with this data. The package contains 3 plugins:
Note: The plugins in this package are also a part of the EFX Render Elements suite. If you already have it, you don't need these. If on the other hand you buy these and later decide that you'd like to have the full EFX Render Elements suite, you will get a discount equal to the amount you spent on EFX ZDepth tools. Upgrade offer: If you already purchased ZDepth Tools and want to upgrade to the full Render Elements suite just log in and the full suite will be automatically discounted by the full price of the the ZDepth Tools. You can download the User Manual for details on individual plugins.

Pixel Cloud
![]() | The Pixel Cloud plugin for After Effects is a powerful compositing tool that allows you to relight a 3D generated image, make 3D aware selections or displace the pixels in 3D space. Combine the use of a Position Pass and a Normal Pass with the power of After Effects' 3D lights and cameras and change the lighting of your composited 3D graphics. This native plugin for After Effects can use the coordinate information from a Position Pass or depth map to generate a Pixel Cloud in 3D space. This Pixel Cloud can be viewed from all angles using AE's own cameras. With a Normal Pass, the Pixel Cloud can be relit using After Effects' own lights or using an image as an Image Based Light. There are a number of uses from 3D compositing to motion graphics! Features
Generating the position pass can be done in various 3D software packages. In Cinema 4D you may use the PointPosition C4D plugin. For Maya, you may use the Point World output of a samplerInfo node connected to a surface shader and render an EXR using mental ray and the 32-bit framebuffer. There are also a variety of tutorials available. For 3DS Max, you may add the XYZ Generator shader to the surface slot of a mental ray material. Set its Coordinate System to 3 and render to an EXR using the floating point framebuffer. Tutorials

CINEWARE proxy
![]() | Speed-up your live 3D pipeline between Cinema 4D and After Effects CC. Quickly toggle between the live pipeline and rendered proxy files. When working with Cinema 4D and After Effects, in general you have two options:
While the latter is convenient, it can get slow if you projects are complex. With CINEWARE proxy, you get the best of both worlds: Simply toggle back and forth between the live 3D pipeline and rendered proxy files. You can, for example, start working with the live pipeline and render proxy files in the background. Once the background rendering is done, you switch from the live pipeline to the rendered files and all modifications you did in the meantime are preserved. Whenever you need to modify your Cinema 4D project, in one click you can switch back to the live pipeline or update your proxies to see the changes in After Effects. CINEWARE proxy can also work with existing proxy files which you rendered with your method of choice. To avoid the hassle to select the file for each render pass manually, CINEWARE proxy automatically learns your file naming conventions. Just load one file and all others will be found automatically. For future projects CINEWARE proxy even remembers your habits and over time gains experience where to look for your files. Features

Buena Depth Cue
![]() | Have you noticed that adding the appearance of another dimension to your compositing projects feels like you’ve stepped into another dimension when it comes to the laws of physics? Taking 2D compositing projects into simulated 3D depth can be a hassle as you're often trying to apply logic to processes that have no similarity to your life...on Earth. Buena Depth Cue is a collection of plugins that are designed to handle a variety of factors surrounding common sense manipulation of the critical half-dimension. Buena Depth Cue v2 provides After Effects artists with an innovative workflow for creating visual depth in their projects. Using composition-based effects, such as Rack Focus, Falloff Lighting or Atmosphere, digital media artists can mimic Z depth in a unique way that cannot be replicated using After Effects depth of field. Buena Depth Cue V2 includes 6 powerful plug-ins for creating depth. AtmosphereThe Atmosphere plugin for After Effects simulates atmospheric conditions such as haze and fog in your composition. Atmosphere allows you to set the depth which the atmosphere is visible in your scene, so that you may make layers further away from the camera appear to be more deeply immersed in the Atmosphere then layers closer to the camera (or the other way around). This also applies to parts of layers: If part of a layer is near the camera and part of it is far away, the pixels near the camera will appear less immersed in the haze/fog than the pixels far away from the camera. You can simulate very realistic or very unrealistic types of atmospheric effects. Camera MapperThe Camera Mapper plugin allows you to simulate a 3D scene from 2D footage. It enables you to isolate one or several objects in your footage, project these objects on a separate layer and pull that layer out of the background, creating the visual illusion of the object floating in front of the original footage. Camera mapping is a key part of compositing applications such as Nuke, and while you could do this natively in After Effects, it would be only at the expense of some complicated work around that cost time and lack important capabilities. DepthThe Depth plugin creates gray scale depth maps from your footage. You can also ‘precomposite depth’ allowing for more manipulation with your 3D camera. Falloff LightingThe Falloff Lighting plugin for After Effects provides a lighting system that mimics the way objects appear dimmer the further away they are from the lights illuminating them. With After Effects’ built- in lights, it doesn’t matter how far away a layer is from a light, it is still illuminated the same amount by that light. FlipsideThe Flipside plug-in does one simple thing: it maps one layer onto the back side of another layer. This allows you to flip the front layer over to reveal the back layer. It does this without creating any gap between the 2 layers, and without the occlusion problems that sometimes show up when trying to put 2 layers very close together in a composition. Rack FocusThe Rack Focus plugin allows you to simulate depth of field effects. When applied, layers (or parts of layers) that are near or far from the camera are blurred, while layers (or pixels) in the mid ground are in focus. This allows you to create nice focus pulls and other related effects. Upgrade Notice: If you own a previous version of Buena Depth Cue you can upgrade to this version at a 70% discount. If you own a previous version of Atmosphere, Falloff Lighting, Camera Mapper, Depth or Flipside you can upgrade at a 50% discount. To upgrade add this product to your shopping cart and enter your previous serial number in the Discount Codes field (click here for visual reference).
